1. When visiting the SPA Complex of Arasan Wellness & SPA Complex, visitors should observe cleanliness in all our rooms including the common and personal hygiene rules.
  1. It is not allowed to stay in high-risk areas (washing departments, steam rooms, a swimming pool) in a state of alcoholic, narcotic and toxicological intoxication. If a visitor is suspected of any signs of alcohol and/or narcotic, toxicological intoxication, and also residual effects of alcohol intoxication (alcohol withdrawal syndrome), the security personnel are entitled to apply measures to the said persons as bringing them out of the Complex or calling a law enforcement officer.
  1. It is not allowed to eat and drink alcoholic beverages outside of designated areas other than bars.
  1. All rooms are smoke free. Smoking is only allowed in a designated area.
  2. The temperature conditions in the rooms should be set only by the SPA Complex’s personnel.
  1. Visitors should be polite towards the SPA Complex’s personnel.
  1. For any violation of the rules of visiting, public order, or a rude attitude towards the personnel of the Arasan Wellness & SPA Complex, or destruction or damage to the Complex’s property, or any non-compliance with safety regulations in high-risk areas (washing department, steam rooms, a swimming pool), the administration or the security personnel are fully entitled to warn or remove the violator without returning the cost of visiting the Complex and services paid by him.
  2. We strongly recommend that you consult your doctor about your health condition before visiting our bathhouse.
  3. Children are admitted to the territory of the Arasan Wellness & SPA Complex at the age of 4 till 18 years old solely accompanied by their parents who bear full responsibility for the safety of their children while being in the Complex.
  1. Children under 4 years old are not admitted to the Complex.
  1. A visit to the women’s or men’s sections of the SPA Complex by children (from 4 years old) is allowed subject to the mandatory accompaniment by one of their parents in strict accordance with the gender of the child.
  1. Subject to the closing time of the SPA Complex on its working days at 11:30 p.m., entrance tickets are sold according to the following conditions:
  • A ticket for 3 hours of rest in the SPA Complex may be purchased by our guests until 08:10 p.m.;
  • A ticket for 2 hours of rest in the SPA Complex may be purchased by our guests until 09:10 p.m;
  • A ticket for 1 hour of rest in the SPA Complex may be purchased by our guests until 10:10 p.m.
  1. The issued bracelet should be only replaced if the electronic lock in the individual locker room is malfunctioning.
  1. For leaving the SPA Complex later than the paid time, there is a mandatory surcharge of KZT 30/min. on weekdays, and KZT 40/min. on weekends for each delayed minute.
  1. If there is a queue at the entrance cash desk, to stop recording the time spent in the Complex, you should attach your bracelet two times to the reader located on the wall near the cash desk (to the right or to the left).
  1. Self-dyeing your hair, and shaving and cutting your nails in the SPA Complex is strictly prohibited. For a violation of this rule, an appropriate penalty is imposed.
  2. It is strictly forbidden to clean your shoes with rented accessories.
  3. Damage to accessories rented at the Arasan Wellness & SPA, which results in dyeing of the fabric or violation of the integrity of an accessory, is subject to appropriate penalties.
  1. To avoid falling and injuring, it is recommended to use thongs-like flip-flops, the top of which covers the back of the metatarsophalangeal joint of your foot.
  1. Keep silence in the hall of the eastern department of the SPA Complex.
  2. Standing in your shoes on the floor scales installed in the SPA Complex is strictly prohibited.
  1. For leaving the SPA Complex later than the official closing time specified by the Arasan Wellness & SPA’s schedule subject to delays within 30 minutes (11:30 p.m. — 12:00 p.m.), the administration of the complex is entitled to demand a fine of KZT 5000 irrespective of the number of delayed minutes.
  2. Visitors to the Complex are entitled to place their private cars in the parking lot of Arasan Wellness & SPA on a paid basis only for the duration of their stay in the SPA Complex.
  3. The Administration of Arasan Wellness & SPA is not responsible for accidents that might occur owing to the clients’ non-compliance with the established safety rules and urge you to adhere to these recommendations and rules.

Rules for storing personal belongings

  1. At the entrance to Arasan Wellness & SPA, visitors should leave their outer clothing in the wardrobe and store their personal belongings and clothes in the closet of the locker room.
  2. Valuables, including mobile phones and the money shall be deposited in the storage chamber located at the reception desk of the 1st floor of the wellness and SPA complex. Storage services are provided free of charge, on a deposit basis, the amount of 500 KZT will be returned to the guest after delivery of the key at the checkout counter.
  3. Arasan Wellness & SPA is not responsible for damage, loss, shortage of things and valuable property left by a visitor outside the storage room (in locker rooms etc. left unattended).
  4. Arasan Wellness & SPA is not responsible for the safety of cars parked near the building or in the parking lot near the Complex.

Rules for using locker rooms, showers, and washing departments

  1. Do not leave trash in cabinets, or on benches.
  2. Do not leave your things in unclosed cabinets unattended.
  3. Do not use bath accessories (sheets, bathrobes, towels, flip-flops) for other purposes.
  4. In the rooms (locker room, washing department, showers, massage rooms, steam rooms, swimming pool), it is not allowed to put sheets on the floor.
  5. Do not forget your belongings.
  6. It is forbidden to take the property of Arasan Wellness & SPA out of the building.

Rules for using services in the massage room

  1. Massage services are not provided if the following general contraindications to massage are prescribed to a visitor:
  • Acute and chronic diseases of the skin, internal organs, the presence of open wounds and ulcers, acute allergic reactions;
  • Inflammation of the lymphatic vessels and nodes;
  • The tuberculosis process of any localization in the active stage;
  • Infectious diseases;
  1. Visitors who violate these rules for using services in the Wellness & SPA Complex should be deprived of the right to use them until the end of the rest seance.

Rules for using steam rooms

  1. Before visiting a steam room, it is recommended to consult a doctor for contraindications.
  2. It is recommended that you take a warm shower before visiting a steam room. Then wipe, and it is not recommended wet your head.
  3. Benches in steam rooms are located at different heights. Use shelves with a height where the air temperature is most comfortable for you.
  4. The length of stay in steam rooms is selected individually in accordance with the state of health and the capabilities of your body.
  5. When entering a steam room, it is recommended to cover your head with a special cap to avoid overheating of your head vessels.
  6. Be careful with a hot heater.
  7. After warming, a gradual cooling is recommended: take a contrast shower, plunge into a cool pool.
  8. Sudden changes in temperature are unsafe for your health. Do not take too hot or cold showers before restoring your normal body temperature and blood pressure after visiting the steam room.
  9. To avoid damage to the furnace equipment of the Russian steam room, it is strictly forbidden to supply water to the furnace on your own. Water can be solely supplied to the furnace by the steam man. For violation of this rule, an appropriate penalty is imposed.
  10. It is forbidden to enter the Finnish steam room in the flip-flops. Please leave your flip-flops in front of the steam room.
  11.  It is forbidden to pour essential oils and other aromatic liquids on the electric fireplace of the Finnish steam room, nor to dry clothes.
  12. The use of scrubs, masks and other care products in steam rooms is prohibited.
  13. Entrance to the Turkish steam room with bath brooms is strictly prohibited. Please use bath brooms in the Russian steam room.
  14. It is forbidden to impede the natural closure of the steam room door using any materials at hand to avoid violation of temperature conditions. For violation of the rules, an appropriate penalty is imposed.
  15. It is forbidden to visit a steam room:
  • within 30 minutes of intense physical exertion;
  • less than 1,5-2 hours after a heavy meal;
  • on an empty stomach;
  • in a state of alcoholic, narcotic and toxicological intoxication;
  • having pustular and contagious diseases;
  • in case of any ailments.

 

Basic rules for visiting steam rooms

 

RUSSIAN STEAM ROOM

 It is prohibited:

  1. To leave the steam room door open to avoid temperature violations.
  2. To use body care products (honey, scrub, oil etc.).
  3. To prevent from cleaning rooms every 30 minutes.
  4. To allow the overheating of your body.
  5. To take thermal procedures in the acute stages of a disease.
  6. To serve steam on your own (steam should be supplied by the steam man/steam woman).
  7. To stay indoors while steam is being supplied.
  8. To use soap products and to wash inside the steam room.
  9. To take thermal procedures without a cap.
  10. To enter the steam room with food and drinks.
  11. To enter with basins containing water.
  12. To enter without your flip-flops.

 

It is not recommended:

  1.  To wear jewelry, watch, and glasses in the steam room.
  2. To wear bathing suits/swimming shorts in the steam room — this might interfere with your normal sweating.

 

Recommendations:

  1. You should wash in the shower, wipe dry with a towel, then enter the steam room.
  2. The first run should be warm-up, for 4-5 minutes, then you should take a cool shower and have a rest for 15-20 minutes.
  3. After you have sweated well enough, you should leave the steam room and have a rest for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Between entries to the steam room, you should take a cold shower.
  5. The second entry to the steam room may already be accompanied by taking a steam bath with a broom.
  6. Before using, you should to prepare a broom — it would be better to consult with the personnel (steam men/women).
  7. The last entry to the steam room should be accompanied by the shortest time of operating your broom — not more than 5 minutes.
  8. The number of entries to the steam room depends on your well-being.
  9. Three entries are deemed to be optimal lasting 10 minutes, and the same rest breaks.
  10. After the bath, you should compensate for the lost water by drinking kvass, mineral water, a juice or a strong tea.
  11. You should respect a culture of behavior in public place.

 

FINNISH STEAM ROOM

 

It is prohibited:

  1. To leave the steam room door open to avoid temperature violations.
  2. To pour essential oils and other aromatic liquids onto an electric fireplace in the Finnish steam room.
  3. To use a broom in the steam room.
  4. The use of body care products (honey, scrub, oil etc.).
  5. To prevent from cleaning rooms every 30 minutes.
  6. To allow the overheating of your body.
  7. To take thermal procedures in the acute stages of a disease.
  8. To use soap products and wash inside the steam room.
  9. To take thermal procedures without a cap.
  10. To enter the steam room with food and drinks.
  11. To enter with basins containing water.
  12. To enter the steam room wearing your flip-flops, please leave your shoes at the entrance.
  13. To dry your linen.

 

It is not recommended:

  1. To wear jewelry, watch, and glasses in the steam room.
  2. To wear bathing suits/swimming shorts in the steam room — this might interfere with your normal sweat.
  3. To sit on the top shelf with your legs hanging down and holding your head under the ceiling.

 

 

Recommendations:

  1. Before visiting a steam room, you should wash in the shower, wipe dry with a towel, then enter the steam room.
  2. You should lie on a shelf wrapped in a dry sheet.
  3. The first run should be warm-up, for 4-5 minutes, then you should take a cool shower and have a rest for 15-20 minutes.
  4. The second and subsequent calls may be 10-15 minutes, with a mandatory cool shower and a rest between them for at least 15-20 minutes.
  5. You should better breathe in the steam room only with your nose since the air therein is very hot and dry. In this case, the air passing through your nasopharynx is cooled and moistened.
  6. After the bath, you should compensate for the lost water by drinking kvass, mineral water, a juice or a strong tea.
  7. You should respect a culture of behavior in public place.

                                                                     

ORIENTAL STEAM ROOM (HAMMAM)

 

It is prohibited:

 

  1. To leave the steam room door open to avoid temperature violations.
  2. To use body care products (honey, scrub, oil etc.).
  3. o prevent from cleaning rooms every 30 minutes.
  4. To allow the overheating of your body.
  5. To take thermal procedures in the acute stages of a disease.
  6. To use a broom.
  7. To use soap products and to wash inside the steam room.
  8. To take thermal procedures without a cap.
  9. To enter the steam room with food and drinks.
  10. To enter with basins containing water.
  11. To enter without your flip-flops.

 

It is not recommended:

  1. To wear jewelry, watch, and glasses in the steam room.
  2. To wear bathing suits/swimming shorts in the steam room — this might interfere with your normal sweating.

 

Recommendations:

  1. Before visiting the Oriental steam room, you should take a warm shower.
  2. Visiting out oriental bath, you should first warm up in the dressing room entering the steam room, take a position while sitting or lying on your stomach and warm up.
  3. After taking a steam-bath, you should swim in the pool.
  4. When the body has been warmed up well, you should wrap yourselves with a sheet and lie down to have a rest on the central table.
  5. After the bath, you should compensate for the lost water by drinking kvass, mineral water, a juice or a strong tea.
  6. You should respect a culture of behavior in public place.

Rules for using a swimming pool

  1. Before visiting a pool, take a shower with soap and a bath sponge.
  2. Be extremely attentive and careful — flooring in the washroom, shower rooms, steam rooms, stairs and pool area may be slippery. We kindly ask you to hold onto the handrails and wear rubber slippers.
  3. Swimming in a pool is allowed in disposable clothes or without clothes. Be sure to use a disposable cap. Swimming in underwear, sports shorts and swimming trunks is prohibited.
  4. Water in pools is treated in accordance with the rules and regulations for pools. The Complex is not responsible if the water condition is violated in the short run as a result of some visitors’ failure to comply with personal hygiene rules.
  5. Absolute contraindications:
  • benign and malignant tumors of various locations, osteomyelitis, trophic ulcers, atherosclerosis of peripheral vessels, thromboangiitis in combination with arteriosclerosis of cerebral vessels accompanied by cerebral crises;
  • aneurysms of blood vessels, aorta, and heart; thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, a circulatory failure of the third degree, heart valve defects in the stage of decompensation, acute myocardial ischemia occuring suddenly;
  • severe sclerosis of cerebral vessels with a tendency to thrombosis and hemorrhage, bronchiectasis in the stage of tissue decay, pulmonary heart failure of the third degree, acute cardiovascular failure, pulmonary edema, renal and hepatic failure, active forms of tuberculosis, veneral diseases, mental diseases with an excessive excitement and significantly altered psyche.
  1. Temporary contraindications:
  • various diseases of the skin, nails, scalp of an infectious, fungal and unexplained etiology, various skin rashes, acute inflammatory skin lesions, purulent processes, inflammation of the lymph nodes, blood vessels, hemorrhages, bleeding (nasal, intestinal, uterine), allergic diseases, high body temperature, acute inflammatory processes, hypertonic or hypotonic crises, nausea, vomiting, heart pain, acute respiratory infections within two to five days of them, general severe conditions for various diseases and injuries.
  1. Local contraindications:
  • warts, lesions, skin irritations, abrasions and cracks, neurodermatitis, eczema, local enlargement and soreness of the lymph nodes, significant varicose veins with trophic disorders, mastopathy;
  • the lumbar region and abdomen — ovarian cyst, endometritis, pain on palpation of the abdomen (for various diseases), diseases of the abdominal organs with a tendency to bleed, after bleeding due to peptic ulcer, as well as caused by diseases of the female genital area or trauma, menstruation, pregnancy. In women, two months during the postpartum period.
